Hi, I’m Zachary Gilbaugh, a biomedical engineer with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the University of Iowa. My academic and project experience centers on the research, design, prototyping, and testing of medical devices, with my particular interests focusing on cardiovascular and electrophysiological applications.
I thrive in taking ideas from clinical needs to functional prototypes, with a strong interest in how engineering can improve patient outcomes through innovative device design. My hands-on experience spans biomechanics, medical imaging, and implantable device analysis. I’ve worked on projects ranging from dynamic support systems for gait stability to finite element modeling of orthopaedic implants and soft tissues.
I’m excited to continue growing as an impactful engineer in device development, where I can combine technical skills, creativity, and collaboration to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.
